Terms of Use
Welcome to ReptiOS (“the App”). The App is an offline-first care record and reminder tool for reptile keepers. It helps organize pet profiles, enclosures, daily events, photo attachments, care tasks, backup files, health reports, and PRO care tools.
Please read these terms before using the App. By downloading, installing, opening, or continuing to use the App, you understand and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the App.
1. Scope
These terms apply to the App and this website’s product information, terms, privacy policy, and contact entry points. For personal information processing, please also read the Privacy Policy.
Sync space is not enabled in the current release. If the App later adds cloud sync, accounts, subscriptions, community features, online consultation, or other separate services, we may provide additional rules through separate terms, page notices, or in-app prompts. Please read them before using those features.
2. Service
The App currently provides these local tool capabilities. Some advanced features require a lifetime PRO purchase:
- Create and manage reptile profiles, including name, species, status, photos, and notes.
- Record enclosures, equipment, installation dates, lifespan, and replacement status for items such as UVB tubes, heating, and filtration.
- Record feeding, stool, shedding, weight, misting, cleaning, medical notes, temperature/humidity, and photo attachments.
- Generate tasks, overdue reminders, equipment expiry reminders, and risk prompts locally from the data you enter.
- Export backup files for review, migration, restore, and record keeping.
- Use PRO features for multi-pet and multi-enclosure management, batch check-ins, status filters, breeding batches, batch feeding and calcium, multi-image comparison, and advanced reports.
- Generate health reports, clinic cards, transfer profiles, or growth books for veterinary conversations, handoff, and archiving.
Features, screens, and supported scope may change over time and depend on the version you install.
3. Accounts and Payment
The App currently does not require registration and does not provide account login, third-party login, cloud accounts, ads, online communities, or e-commerce transactions. The current paid capability is lifetime PRO, which unlocks the current local advanced features.
Lifetime PRO purchases are handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, or the app store supported by the channel where you downloaded the App. Prices, taxes, currency, promotions, payment methods, charges, invoices, order records, refund requests, and disputes follow the rules of the applicable app store or payment channel. The App does not directly receive or store your bank card number, full payment account, or payment password. You can review Apple refund guidance and the Google Play refund policy for platform-specific rules.
After purchase, the App uses the purchase state or restore result returned by the app store to unlock PRO benefits in your local app. If you reinstall the App, change devices, or have an abnormal purchase state, you can use “Restore Purchase” in the App. If you receive a refund, reverse a transaction, or the purchase is considered invalid by the app store, the corresponding PRO benefits may be cancelled or unavailable.
Lifetime PRO does not include sync space in the current release. If cloud services, account services, subscriptions, or other separate paid services are added later, we will show the relevant price, service content, refund rules, data practices, and supplemental terms before you use them.
4. User Responsibilities
You must follow applicable laws, animal welfare requirements, and these terms, and you are responsible for your entries, exports, sharing, and actual husbandry decisions.
- Keep pet, environment, equipment, and event records as accurate and complete as possible.
- Adjust care based on species differences, individual condition, local climate, equipment behavior, and veterinary advice.
- Protect exported backups, reports, photos, and screenshots, especially if they contain personal or medical information.
- Do not use the App for unlawful activity, rights infringement, interference, bypassing restrictions, scraping, malicious reverse engineering, or attack testing.
- Do not intentionally submit illegal, harmful, infringing, malicious, or unrelated sensitive content in feedback, notes, photos, or exported files.
5. Care and Medical Limits
The App provides records, reminders, organization, and review tools. It does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment plans, prescription advice, or emergency services. Species references, cycle reminders, risk prompts, and health reports are for care reference only and do not replace professional veterinary judgment.
If an animal shows clear abnormal behavior, prolonged refusal to eat, breathing difficulty, injury, bleeding, severe dehydration, inability to pass stool, shedding problems, lethargy, or other urgent signs, contact a qualified reptile veterinarian or local animal medical service promptly.
6. Local Data and Backup
The App is designed around local storage. Pet profiles, enclosures, equipment, care records, photo attachments, settings, report drafts, backup files, and exported reports are stored on your device by default. Unless you export and share them or contact us with them, we generally cannot access your local data.
- You can edit, delete, or archive data in the App and export backups or health reports.
- Once exported, files are yours to store, move, share, delete, and protect.
- Uninstalling the App, clearing app data, switching devices, system issues, storage damage, or permission changes may make data or attachments unrecoverable.
- Before uninstalling, changing devices, clearing storage, or testing a new version, export important backups and keep them safely.
7. Permissions and Notifications
To support photos, gallery selection, file import/export, local notifications, vibration, and restoring reminders after restart, the App may request camera, photo, notification, file, vibration, or boot-related permissions. You can deny or disable them in system settings, but related features may not work.
Local notifications depend on the operating system, time zone, battery management, Do Not Disturb, background limits, and device manufacturer behavior. Even when enabled, notifications may be delayed, merged, silenced, or not shown. Confirm important care tasks in the App and in your own schedule.
8. Intellectual Property
Except for third-party rights or separate notices, the App and website software, interface design, branding, icons, page copy, species references, structured fields, and product materials belong to us or the relevant rights holders.
Pet profiles, photos, care records, notes, exported reports, and backup files you enter in the App remain yours or the original rights holder’s. You should ensure content you upload, record, or share does not infringe others’ rights.
9. Third-Party Components and External Channels
The App may use open-source components, system capabilities, or app distribution and purchase services for local database storage, image picking, file selection, local notifications, PDF reports, backup compression, time zone detection, version checks, and lifetime PRO unlocking. This does not mean the App currently integrates ads, analytics, maps, location, third-party login, or social sharing services.
When you contact us, download the App, or submit feedback through Telegram, Reddit, QQ, app stores, or other external channels, the relevant third-party platform processes your account, device, communication, and network information under its own terms and privacy rules.
10. Service Changes, Interruptions, and Termination
We may adjust App features, interface, supported platforms, contact channels, or website content due to system limits, platform review requirements, legal requirements, maintenance, or force majeure. If changes materially affect user rights, we will try to explain them through the App, website, or another reasonable method.
If you violate laws, these terms, or clearly harm the product, other users, or third parties, we may stop providing related support, refuse improper feedback, or take necessary measures within a reasonable scope.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, the App is provided as is. We work to improve stability and accuracy, but do not guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every device, system version, region, permission state, battery policy, or care need.
- You are responsible for reminder, report, or care judgment differences caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated entries.
- You are responsible for data loss caused by missing backups, mistaken deletion, uninstalling, clearing storage, device failure, system updates, or third-party tools.
- The App is not responsible for indirect losses caused by notification limits, time zone changes, battery policies, Do Not Disturb, or manufacturer behavior.
- You are responsible for disclosure, misuse, or disputes after sharing exported reports, backups, photos, or screenshots with third parties.
12. Minors
Minors should use the App with consent and guidance from a parent or guardian. Guardians should pay attention to minors sharing screenshots, photos, reports, and contact information, and avoid unnecessary personal information disclosure.
13. Law, Updates, and Contact
These terms are governed by the laws of mainland China, except where conflict-of-law rules provide otherwise. Disputes related to these terms or App use should first be resolved through friendly communication.
We may update these terms when product features, legal requirements, or operations change. Updates will show a new update and effective date on this page. If you continue using the App after updates, you are deemed to understand and accept the updated terms.
